Back to the Woods

Bowbrook Archers returned to Dell Farm woods on Saturday 17 October, for the first field shoot on the improved course, following reservoir draining work and general grounds maintenance work. The shoot, open to all Bowbrook members, was a huge success.

Participants, and the wider club membership, would like to note a special thanks to Neil Clarke, Andy Yates and Fred Manley for their hard work in setting up the new course.

“Thanks Neil, Fred and Andy for all the work that went into organising today. A great day out.”

“The new layout for Dell Farm is great. There are some great new shoots! Challenging and exciting at the same time. The future for the field course is bright. A massive shout out to Neil, Andy and Fred for the hard work.”

“Well done to all involved in organising today’s shoot at Dell Farm. It’s a really interesting course and it was very enjoyable.”

Congratulations to Medal winners: Dean and Andy (Barebow Gold / Silver), Neil and Chris (Historic Gold / Silver), Glyn (Trad Gold), Trevor (Compound Gold), Michelle (Barebow Gold), Sheila (Historic Gold), and Emma (Junior u12 Gold).

Dick Hilton, our course marshall for the day, announced the medallists.

The next shoot will be the annual Christmas Shoot, where all proceeds go to a local charity. Details to follow.

Field shoot practices now take place on a weekly basis:
